February 18, 1931 - August 10, 2022
Melms, Nellie G. of Riverview.  August 10, 2022.  Age 91.  Loving Mother to 
Bridget Schooley (Donald), Stephen Melms (Connie), Debra Stewart (Richard), 
Cynthia Melms (Mike Brady) and Leroy Melms III (Sheila).  Beloved Sister of 
Sally Cooper, Ruth Ann Walenski, Robert Smaglinski, Rosalie Busch, Sharon 
Ludwig, Jerry Miller, Karen Grindstaff, Ginger Western and Terry Miller.  Nellie 
is preceded in death by her parents George and Nellie Smaglinski, her sister 
Adeline Smaglinski, her brother Vincent Smaglinski and her husband Leroy Melms 
Jr.  Cherished Grandmother to Sheila Caggiano, Rich Stewart, Joshuah Schooley 
and Julie Schooley and Great Grandmother to Justin Stewart, Ainsley Stewart, 
Ethan Stewart, Bella Caggiano, Anthony Caggiano, Sophia Schooley, Garrett 
Schooley, Benjamin Delconte and Natalia Delconte.  Nellie enjoyed Bingo and 
playing cards.  She was on bowling leagues in her spare time and was also a huge 
fan of Elvis.  Nellie was loved by many and will be missed by all.  Immediately 
following after services, Dinner and Cash bar at Sportman's Den 15001 Sibley 
Riverview.  Published Crane Funeral Home Southgate Mich.

Note:  Born to George & Nellie (Watchowski) Smaglinski.  Married April 10, 1950 in 
St. Martin's Catholic Church in Detroit.
