Andrew J. Messing, 91, of Bad Axe, died Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at Courtney 
Manor, Bad Axe.  He was born July 30, 1915 in Ruth, the son of the late Henry 
and Helen (Tenbusch) Messing.  He married Genevieve Terbrack in 1934 at Sts. 
Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Ruth.  She died December 25, 2002.  Messing 
attended Sts. Peter and Paul Elementary School. He farmed all his life. He 
worked for Kilpatrick Dairy Farm in Kinde for a few years before retiring in 
1977.  Then he worked for Weiss Dairy Farm in Port Hope for 10 years.

Messing is survived by two sons: Alvin (Linda Franzel) Messing Sr. of Ubly and 
Paul (Kathy) Messing of
Cass City; a daughter, Betty (Robert) Mausolf of Harbor Beach; 15 
grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; a brother, Leonard (Theresa) Messing of 
Harbor Reach; and a sister, Dorothy Roggenbuck of Harbor Beach.  He was 
preceded in death by a daughter, Doris Goniwicha July 2, 1996; 6 sisters: Anna 
Essenmacher, Magdaline Kranz, Eleanor (John) Adler, Helen Kirsch, Clara Clor 
and Irene Samulski; and 4 brothers: Lawrence, Leo, Walter and Arthur Messing.

Funeral services were held Friday, March 16, at Zinger-Smigielski Funeral 
Home, Ubly, with the Rev. John Kapson, pastor of Minden City United Methodist 
Church, officiating.  Burial was in the Argyle Township
Cemetery.  Arrangements were made by Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home, Ubly
