Arthur Messing
March 17, 1917 – July 13, 1948
Ruth, July 14 – Arthur Messing, 31, died Tuesday night after a short 
illness.   Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m.  Saturday in SS Peter & 
Paul Catholic Church.   Rev.  Frank A Kaufmann, pastor, will officiate.   
Burial will be in the church cemetery.   Mr.  Messing is survived by his 
widow, Catherine (Clor), two daughters: Mildred and Marion Messing, and five 
sons: Carl, Harold, Daniel, George and Harvey Messing, all living with their 
parents; his mother Mrs. Helen Messing, Ruth; seven sisters: Mrs. Henry 
Essenmacher and Mrs. George Kranz, both of Bad Axe; Mrs. John Adler, Ruth; 
Mrs. Joseph Clor, Mrs. Roman Kirsch, Mrs. Walter Samulski and Mrs. George 
Roggenbuck all of Harbor Beach; and four brothers: Walter Messing, Bad Axe; 
Leonard Messing, Harbor Beach and Andrew and Lawrence Messing, both of Ruth.  
He was born March 17, 1917 in Sherman Township.

Irene (Walter) Samulski and Mrs.  Dorothy (Jerome) **George Roggenbuck all of 
Harbor Beach; and four brothers: Walter Messing, Bad Axe; Leonard Messing, 
Harbor Beach and Andrew and Lawrence Messing, both of Ruth.
