Frank Peter Messing
March 15, 1908 - September 10, 1977
MINDEN CITY - Frank P. Messing, 69, East Huron Road, Delaware Township, Sanilac 
County, died Saturday in Deckerville Community Hospital.  Mr. Messing was born 
March 15, 1908, in Minden City and was a lifelong area resident.  He was a 
retired farmer and a member of the Ruth Council 3823 of the Knights of Columbus.  
Mr. Messing married Bernetta Booms on September. 3, 1928, at Helena.  

He is survived by his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Mildred Uhl, Roseville, Mrs. 
Sylvia London, Parma, Ohio. Mrs. Arlene Roggenbuck, Mount Clemens, and Mrs. 
Elizabeth Outlaw, Garden City; four sons. Gordon and Norman Messing, both of 
Carsonville, Marcus Messing, Peck, and Daniel Messing, North Branch; a sister, 
Mary Sadrow, Harbor Beach; a brother, Bernard Messing, Harbor Beach; a half-
brother, Joseph H. Messing, Ruth; 44 grandchildren; and a greatgrandchild. 

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ruth.  
The Rev. Francis Murray, pastor, will officiate.  Burial will be in the church 
cemetery.  Remains are in the Bowen Funeral Home, Minden City.  Visiting hours 
are after 3 p.m. today.  Rosaries will be recited at 8 p.m. by the Knights of 
Columbus and 8:30 p m. by the Daughters of Isabella, today and 8 p.m. Monday by 
Father Murray in the funeral home.  Published Times Herald Port Huron Sunday
