Marcus Frank Messing
July 7, 1935 - January 12, 2007
Marcus Frank Messing, 71 of Peck, died Friday, January 12, 2007 at his home in 
Peck, Michigan.  He was born July 7, 1935 in Minden City, Michigan, the son of 
the late Frank and Bemetta (Booms) Messing.  He was a lifelong area resident, 
member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Yale, the Knights of Columbus, and 
past member, of the Peck American Legion.  Marcus married Bernice Roberts on 
June 28, 1958 in Harbor Beach.  He farmed and worked for 30 years at L&L 
Products in Romeo.  Marcus enjoyed wood working in his retirement. 

He is survived by his wife, Bernice; Deanna and Gary Bolsby (daughter) of 
Sandusky, Marvin Messing (son) of California, Clifford Messing (son) of 
Marietta, Anthony and Linda Messing (son) of Brown City, Carolyn and George 
Spangenberg (daughter) of Croswell, Frank and Susan Messing (son) of Ohio, 
Jennifer and John Barber (daughter) of Peck, Elaine and John Welsh (daughter) of 
Peck, Linda and Keith Dylus (daughter) of Peck, RuthAnn Messing (daughter) of 
Warren, and Annette and Gary Vanlerberghe (daughter) of Peck; Mildred Uhl 
(sister) of, Florida, Gordon and Julie Messing (brother) of Carsonville, Sylvia' 
Landon (sister)! of Ohio, Norman and Eleanor Messing (brother) of  Carsonville, 
Fred Roggenbuck (brother-in-law) of Mt. Clemens, Elizabeth and Herb Outlaw 
(sister) of Garden City, and Dan and Diane Messing (brother) of  Wisconsin; 
grandchildren, Randy and Brenda Bolsby, Adrianne and Ryan Kursinsky, Isaiah 
Messing, Daniel, Ethan and Marcus Messing, Heather Messing, Holly, Traci and  
Christine Spangenberg, Jacinta, Rose, Martina, Joseph and Elizabeth Messing, 
Jessica Barber, Victoria, Aaron and Tyler Welsh, Crystal and Matthew Kiley and. 
Grant Dylus, Pierce Ratcliffe, Nicholas and Conner Vanlerberghe; and seven great 
grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Hailey Dylus; 
sisters, Alice Messing and Arlene Roggenbuck; and brother-in-law, Walter Uhl. 

Funeral services were held Monday, January 15, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic 
Church, Yale.  Fr. Wolfgang Streichardt officiated.  Burial was in the Mt. Hope 
Cemetery in Peck.  Pallbearers, were Randy Bolsby, Aaron Welsh, Ethan Messing, 
Marcus Messing, Randy Messing and Duane Messing.  Memorial suggestions are to 
EWTN Radio Station or Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Arrangements were handled 
by the Marsh Funeral Chapel, Sandusky.  Published Minden City Herald Thursday
