Ann Elizabeth (Pluciennik) Messing November 10, 1936 - March 31, 2023 Ann E. Messing, age 86, of Bad Axe, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2023 at Northwood Meadows in Cass City. Ann was born November 10, 1936 in Poland, daughter of the late Anthony and Apolonia Pluciennik. She married John Drelich on September 28, 1957. He preceded her in death in 1965. She married Lloyd Messing on November 19, 1966 at St Columbkille Catholic Church. They were married for 53 years. He preceded her in death on November 10, 2020. Ann was a lifelong member of St. Columbkille Catholic Church and was a Christian Mother for several years. Ann was a homemaker and enjoyed raising her children. She helped on the family farm and enjoyed cooking, especially her famous pierogies and potato pancakes, as well as gardening and canning. She enjoyed spending time with family and traveling to other states to visit. Ann's greatest joys were her grandchildren who brought her such happiness. She loved sharing her stories with them. Ann is survived by her children, Lorraine Langley of Bad Axe, Jim (Ann) Messing of Frankenmuth, Judy (Brian) Hartman of Wheaton, Iiilinois, Jeniffer (Chad) Timmons of Owendale. Grandchildren, Heather Langley, Amber and Dustin Langley, Jordan (fiancé Joe), Stephen and Seth Messing, Cameron, Evan and Jason Hartman, Meleah and Connor Timmons. Sisters, Jenny (Clarence) Seltz, Mary Kropp, Kathy Kubacki. Brothers, Stanley and Chester Pluciennik. In-laws, Marvin (Lorene) Messing, Norma (Virgil) Peruski, Carol Stewart, David Messing. Ann was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Harold Langley, great-granddaughter Olivia Langley, brothers-in-law, Willard Kropp, Ed Kubacki, Russell Bouchard, and Eugene Stewart. Sister-in-law, Delores Bouchard. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at 11 am at St. Columbkille Catholic Church of Sheridan Corners. Officiating will be Fr. Nate Harburg. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 from 3 – 7 pm at the Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe or Wednesday at the church from 10 am until the service time at 11 am.
