Marvin James Messing
April 15, 1960 - March 12, 2012
Marvin J. Messing, 51, of Bakersfield, California and formerly of Peck died 
March 12, 2012.  He was born April 15, 1960 in Deckerville, Michigan to Marcus 
and Bernice Roberts.  He attended Peck High School and joined the Army where he 
became part of the Airborne Corps.  Marvin worked for the State of California as 
a corrections officer.
He is survived by a young son Isaiah Messing of California, his mother Bernice 
Messing; 10 siblings Deanna (Gary) Bolsby, Sandusky; Clifford Messing, Melvin; 
Tony (Linda) Messing, Brown City; Carolyn (George) Spangenberg, Croswell; Frank 
(Sue) Messing, Ohio; Jennifer (John) Barber, Peck; Elaine Welsh, Peck; Linda 
(Keith) Dylus, Brown City; Ruth Ann Messing, St. Clair Shores and Annette (Gary) 
Vanlerberghe, Melvin; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial mass will be held in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Yale on April 
16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m.  Cremated ashes to be inurned at Mount Hope Cemetery in 
Peck.  Published Brown City Banner April 9, 2012.
