Philomena (Minnie) (Braun) Emming  
January 29, 1883 - January 20, 1952
Ruth, Jan. 30 Mrs. Philomena "Minnie" Emming, 69. widow of William Emming and 
lifelong resident of Huron County, died today after a long illness.  Mrs. Emming 
was born January 29, 1883 in Sand Beach Township.  She was married October 
25,1904 to Mr. Emming.  He died August. 9, 1950.  Mrs. Emming was the third 
member of her family to die in seven months.  A brother, John Braun, died in 
June, 1951, and another brother, Albert Braun died in November.  Mrs. Emming is 
survived by a son, Ben, and two daughters. Mrs. Charles Hessling and Mrs. 
William Volmerint Jr., all of Ruth; 26 grandchildren, four great grand- children 
and three brothers, Joseph and Arthur Braun, both of Harbor Beach, and Peter 
Braun, Detroit.  She was a member of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers of 
Ruth. 

Remains are in the home of Mrs. Hessling.  Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
