Mrs Samuel G. Murray
Funeral services will be conducted at 9 a.m. Sat for Mrs Ellen Murray, 79, widow 
of Samuel G Murray. She died Wed night in Bad Axe General hospital after an 
illness of 6 years. Mrs Murray was a resident of Bad Axe for the pst 51 years. 
She was born Aug 31, 1871 in Aurelia, Ontario and moved to Reese MI when she was 
12 years old. She came to Bad Axe after her marriage. Mrs Murray was a member of 
Sacred Heart Cath ch and a past president of the altar society. Survivors are 2 
daughters, Mrs Joseph Palm, Bad Axe and Mrs Mae Ach, Detroit; a son, Michael W 
Murray, Veterans hospital, Battle Creek and 5 grandchildren. Her husband died in 
Dec 1934. Rev Fr Charles A Roark will officiate at the requiem high mass in 
Sacred Heart ch. Burial will be in Colfax cemetery.
