The remains will be removed today to the farm home of his parents near Bad Axe. Nugent is survived by his widow, the former Miss Betty Cook, whom he married April 12, 1947, his parents, four brothers, Leon Nugent, Cadillac, MI and Percy, Ralph and William Nugent, all of Bad Axe, and two sisters, Mrs Fox, and Mrs William Yageman, both of Detroit. He was born June 2, 1919 in Bad Axe. He was graduated by Bad Axe High School and attended Michigan State college three years as a student in civil engineering. In his junior year, he enlisted in the U S Army engineers and serviced 28 months on the Stilwell road in India. After his discharge, he was construction superintendent for the Terry & Steadman Contracting Co, Bay city. His last project with that firm was construction of a levee in Louisville, KY. In April, 1948, he was named by the Huron County Road commission as an assistant to L L Bateman, Huron County Road Engineer, to act as field superintendent of maintenance and construction, but his health failed a few weeks later.
