Daniel Oberski
January 28, 1890 – November 2, 1981
Daniel Oberski, 91, died Monday, November 2, 1981, in Huron County Medical Care 
Facility, Bad Axe, after a long illness.  He was born January 28, 1890, in Paris 
Township, where he was a lifelong resident.  He married Clara Fisher October 27, 
1915, in Parisville.  She died February 20, 1958.   He married Martha (Yaroch) 
Bolda November 4, 1961, in Port Austin.  She died April 14, 1976.  He was a 
farmer.  He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Edward (Edith) Bodis, Port Austin; 
three sons, Bernard, of Ruth, and Dr. Elmer, D.O., and Dr. James, D.D.S., both 
of Grosse Pointe Farms; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a sister, 
Frances Block, Bad Axe; and a brother, John Oberski, Harbor Beach.  

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 
Smith Corners.  The Rev. Stephen Sramek, O.S.B., pastor, will officiate.  Burial 
will be in the church cemetery.  Visiting is after 7 p.m. today in the Zinger-
Smigielski Funeral Home, Ubly. A rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
