Mark Bernard Oberski July 13, 1954 – October 25, 2024 Mark Oberski, age 70, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on July 13, 1954 to the late Bernard and Rita (Priemer) Oberski. On April 12, 1980, Mark and Teresa committed their lives to each other at OLLH Catholic Church in Harbor Beach. Teresa was the love of his life. From a young age, Mark spent his days on the farm working closely with his parents. During his teenage years, he had to take on a more significant role on the farm while his father managed various health issues, and his older brothers were drafted for military service. Once married, Mark worked side by side with Teresa on the farm. As their four children grew, they also joined in all the chores. Mark continuously worked to expand his family farm. Although he worked tirelessly, he always made time for his family. From weekly date nights with Teresa, to vacations up north, Mark made them a priority. As time went on, Grandkids became an even bigger priority. Vacations got longer, and time with family was cherished. Mark's caring nature was evident through the love he showed for his family, the land, the animals, and all he worked with. He was a kind, gentle, and humble man. His love and guidance will be deeply missed, but we will honor his legacy by living each day like he would. Mark is survived by his wife Teresa (Mausolf) of Bad Axe, his four children, Renee (Jon) Herzog of Pigeon, Jeff (Ashley) Oberski of Ruth, Jason (Danielle) of Gaston, South Carolina, Shawn (Kristen) Oberski of Bad Axe, and his three Grandchildren, Brooke and Ben Herzog, and Aleksander Oberski. Siblings Dan (Rosemary) Oberski of Shelby Township, Dale (Grace) Oberski of Warren, and Mary Lynn (Mory) Bahar of Port St. Lucie, along with many nieces and nephews. Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Rita Oberski, and his sister Debra Dorr. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. Hubert Parish – Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The family will receive guests for visitation on Wednesday from 9:30 AM until the service time at 11:00 AM at the church. A celebration of his life will be held immediately following the service (approximately 12:45 PM) at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, 8532 Filion Rd Pigeon, MI. Whether you attend the service or not, all are welcome. Published Huron Daily Tribune Sunday October 27 – Monday October 28, 2024.
