Elaine F. (Wruble) Oparka 
 May 19, 1933 - July 2, 2002
Elaine F.  Oparka, 69, of Harbor Beach passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2002 at 
HealthSource of Saginaw.   Born in Harbor Beach on May 19, 1933, she was the 
daughter of the late George and Cecilia (Moy) Wruble.   She and Alfred Oparka 
were united in marriage on February 7, 1959 in Harbor Beach.   Alfred preceded 
her in death on April 3, 1986.   Elaine was a former employee of Sandman 
Grocery for more than 20 years.   She enjoyed being with her granddaughters 
and watching them play in various sporting events.   Elaine was an avid Pirate 
fan.   She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church in 
Harbor Beach.   

Elaine is survived by her children, Tom Oparka and his wife, Cindy of Harbor 
Beach; Dave Oparka of Lapeer and Cathy Cook and her husband, Larry, of Harbor 
Beach; five granddaughters: Angie Nowiski, Erica Oparka, Abbie Oparka, Kristi 
Cook and Alyson Cook; one brother: Larry Wruble of Sterling Heights; and a 
foster son, Charles Wruble.   She was preceded in death by two brothers, 
Richard and Clarence Wruble.   

A funeral mass will take place at 10 a.m.  Friday, July 5, 2002, at Our Lady 
of Lake Huron Church with the Rev.  Gerald Kukla officiating.   Burial will be 
in the church cemetery.   A parish vigil service will be at 7:30 p.m.  
Thursday in the Ramsey Funeral Home in Harbor Beach.   Visitation will be from 
1 to 5 p.m.  and 7 to 9 p.m.  Thursday and 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.  Friday at the 
funeral home.
