Mr. Henry "Hank" A. Osentoski, 71, of Ubly, passed away Monday, July 24, 2006, 
at the Huron Medical Center in Bad Axe.  Hank was born March 16, 1935 in 
Austin Township to the late Stanley and Bertha (Grifka) Osentoski.  He married 
Donna Booms in April of 1957 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Helena.  He 
married Ruth Ann (Ross) Talaski July 16, 1982 in Sanilac County.  He attended 
Ubly High School.  He farmed from 1956 until he retired in 1976.  In 1977, he 
became employed at Northstar (MABC) Genetics in Lansing, working with select 
sires until he retired in 2000.  He was a delegate for the Michigan Milk 
Producers.  He was a parishioner at St. John Church in Ubly for 47 years where 
he served as an usher.  He was currently a parishioner at St. Ignatius Church 
in Freiburg, joining there in 1982.  He played softball for 50 years, founding 
the Tyre Slow Pitch Softball team.  He bowled for Lamke Body Shop.  He was a 
member of the Austin Township Zoning and Review Boards.  He enjoyed farming, 
trapping, hunting, logging and gardening.   

Hank is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann Osentoski, of Ubly; his children, Steve 
Osentoski, of Ubly, Janice Johnson, of Pacific, Washington, Donald Osentoski 
and his friend, Kim, of Ubly, Cheryl Evangelista and her husband, Al, of 
Saginaw Township, Craig Osentoski and his wife, Kelly Jo, of Bad Axe, Denise 
Mattern and her husband, Don, of Canton Township, Andrea Osentoski, of 
Waterford, Raymond Talaski and his wife, Becky, of Port Austin, Bryan Talaski 
and his wife, Sveta, of Waterford, Kimberly Amley and her husband, Jeff, of 
Wisner Township; 19 grandchildren, Keith and Bradley Osentoski, Jennifer and 
Brandon Osentoski, Cari Osentoski, Jessi Osantoski, Ryan Lee, Alex and Rachel 
Evangelista, Ashley and Brent Osentoski, Samantha, Jacob, and Benjamin 
Mattern, Tristen Talaski, Kinsee, Spencer, and Libby Amley and Brenden 
Talaski; four sisters, Jane Maurer and her husband, Richard, of Ruth, Patricia 
Maurer and her husband, Ronald, of Frankenmuth, Mary Alice Greene and her 
husband, Jeff, of Rodney, and Lorraine Kzinowek, of Essexville; two brothers, 
Elmer "Fuzz" Osentoski, and his wife, Helen, of Ubly, and John "Jack" 
Osentoski, and his wife, Mary, of Ubly.  He was preceded in death by one 
grandson, Cory Osentoski.   

A Funeral Mass will be at 11:45 a.m. on Friday, July 28, 2006, at St. Ignatius 
Catholic Church in Freiburg. The Rev. T.J. Fleming, pastor of Our Lady of Lake 
Huron Catholic Church in Harbor Beach, will officiate. Burial will be in the 
St. Ignatius Cemetery.   Visitation is from 6 to 9 p.m. today, 1 to 9 p.m. on 
Thursday at the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home of Ubly, and from 10:30 to 
11:45 a.m. on Friday at the church. There will be a parish vigil service at 8 
p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
