Mr. Osentoski was born on October 31, 1929 in Detroit, Son of the late Casimer and Irene (Glaza) Osentoski. He married Irene Leavine on June 6, 1953 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Port Austin. Norman was a graduate of Cumber Country School. He worked at Chrysler Motors Dodge Main Plant from October 1946 until 1951. Mr. Osentoski served in the U.S. Army from 1951 until 1953 during the Korean War. Once discharged, he continued to work at Chyrsler until 1991. Norman was a parishioner of St. Blasé Catholic Church in Sterling Heights since 1968 where he was an usher. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and made fishing lures and sinkers. Norman is survived by his wife Irene of Sterling Heights, five children, Linda Parks and her husband, Paul, of Almont, Gary Osentoski and his wife, Carol, of Dryden, Nancy Osentoski of Almont, Arthur Osentoski and his wife Susan of Hadley, Kevin Osentoski and his wife, Lia, of Macomb Township; eight grandchildren, April Schmidt and her husband, Jason, John Osentoski, Crystal Moore and her husband, Tony, Joseph and Christopher Osentoski, Olivia Osentoski, Scott Parks and his wife, Stephanie, Shannon Parks; two great- grandchildren, Brooks Parks and Kaitlynn Schmidt; one brother, Kenneth Osentoski and his wife, Sue, of Otisville; one sister, Marlene Peters of Lake Orion. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry and Melvin Osentoski. Funeral Mass for Norman Osentoski will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 25, 2008 at St. Columbkille Catholic Church of Sheridan Corners. The Rev. James Carlson, pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bad Axe will officiate. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery in Ubly with military honors. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. on Thursday and from 9 to 10 a.m. on Friday at the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly.
