Caroline (Bureiza) Partaka
June 22, 1875 - January 31, 1969
MINDEN CITY - Mrs. Caroline Partaka, 93, widow of John Partaka and lifelong 
pioneer resident of Paris Township, Huron County, died today in Hubbard 
Memorial Hospital, Bad Axe, where she was a patient two days.  Mrs. Partaka 
was born May 30, 1875, in Paris township.  She and Mr. Partaka were married 
in 1891.  He died August 10, 1953.  Mrs. Partaka was one of the original 
members of Holy Rosary Society of St. Mary Catholic Church, Parisville, and 
retained her membership to the present time. 

She Is survived by 173 descendants, including three sons, John Partaka, with 
whom she lived, and Edward Partaka, both of Minden City, and William 
Partaka, Palms; six daughters, Mrs. Lucy Zdrojewski, Palms; Mrs. Frances 
Waligore and Mrs. Darris Blocker, both of Detroit; Mrs. Emma Zmich, Saginaw; 
Mrs. Dewey Pariseau, Minden City, and Mrs. George Sabo, Pontiac; 41 
grandchildren, 118 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.  A 
daughter, Mrs. Martha Salowitz, died December 13, 1949. 

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday In St. Mary Catholic 
Church, Parisville.  Rev. Arthur Waligore, of St. Michael College, Toronto, 
a grandson, will officiate.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Friends 
may call at Zlnger Funeral Home, Ubly, after 2 p.m., Saturday.  Rosaries 
will be recited at 8 p.m. Saturday by Holy Rosary Society and 3 p.m. Sunday 
by Rev. Richard C. Ratajczak.  Published Times Herald (Port Huron, Michigan)

Note:  Born to Joseph and Frances (Bohhua) Bureiza.  Married the widowed John 
Partaka on October 9, 1893 (according to the marriage records) and not in 1891 
as stated in her obituary.
