Kathleen Adelaide (Hessling) Peruski
September 3, 1935 - January 10, 2024
Kathleen A. Peruski, age 88, passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 10, 2024 
at Meadow Lane Assisted Living in Bad Axe, with her devoted husband of 62 years 
by her side.  She was born September 3, 1935 in Harbor Beach to the late Henry 
and Adelaide (Terbrack) Hessling.  She married Alvin D. Peruski on November 25, 
1961 in St. Anthony Catholic Church, Helena.  She resided in Parisville for 60 
years and was a life-long member of St. Mary's - St. Isidore Catholic Church, 
Parisville.

Kathleen attended Fillmore School through eighth grade and graduated high school 
through Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic School-Harbor Beach.  She continued her 
education by attending Port Huron Business School where she received her 
business degree and worked in the Huron County Veterans Affairs Office for many 
years.

Kathleen is survived by her husband Alvin D. Peruski of Parisville.  One son: 
David (Sandy) Peruski of Sunnyvale, Texas, four daughters: Diane (John) Porter 
of Ann Arbor, Dolores (Timothy) Gorkowski of Filion, Doris (Ken) Wisneski of 
Kinde, and Deborah (Jeff) Roberts of Saginaw.  Eleven grandchildren: Amber 
(Ryan) Holcomb, Nicholas Peruski, Emily Peruski, Meaghan Gorkowski (Lukasz), 
Rebecca (Aaron) Durance, Kathryn Gorkowski, Ana (Andrew) Pathic, Anthony (Jessi) 
Wisneski, Sarah Roberts, McKenna Roberts (Levi), Rachel Roberts. Eight great-
grandchildren: Trevor, Maeve, and Hazel Holcomb; Henry and Asher Pathic; Emery, 
Mabel, and Margo Wisneski.  One sister-in-law and one brother-in-law: Bill and 
Darlene Bailey; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in 
death by one brother: Elmer Hessling; two sisters: Lucille Learman and Florence 
Booms.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 15, 2024 at 11 am at 
Holy Apostles Parish - - Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Ruth.  Burial 
will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Parisville.  Visitation will be held on 
Sunday, January 14, 2024 from 3 – 8 pm at the Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe or 
Monday at the church from 10 am until the service time at 11 am.  A rosary will 
be offered on Sunday at 3:00 pm at the funeral home.  
Memorials may be made to: Our Lady of Lake Huron School-Harbor Beach, St. 
Isidore Rosary Sodality-Parisville, Sleeper Public Library-Ubly.  Published
