She was born on August 13, 1911 in Harbor Beach, daughter of the late Alex and Anna (Grates) Talaski. She married Joseph Peyerk Sr. on August 31, 1928 in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rapson. He preceded her in death on June 30, 1978. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bad Axe and the Daughters of Isabella. She enjoyed sewing, euchre and spending time with her family. She is survived by six sons, Clarence Peyerk and his wife, Lois, of Bad Axe, Joseph Peyerk Jr. and his wife, Vivian, of Kinde, Sylvester Peyerk and his wife, Margie, of Shelby Township, James Peyerk and his wife, Janis, of Cass City, Alvin Peyerk and his wife, Nancy, of Ruth, David Peyerk, of Cass City; seven daughters, Genevieve Hupfer and her husband, Matt, of Port Austin, Donna Geiger and her husband, Robert, of Texas, Janet Danielski and her husband, Tom, of Sterling Heights, Mary Meharg and her husband, Gary, of Yale, Suzanne Stanton and her husband, Dale, of Emmett, Rita Jackson and her husband, Richard, of Bad Axe, Barb Rifenbark and her husband, Rick, of Bad Axe; three brothers, Tom Talaski and his wife, Terese, of Bad Axe, Julius Talaski and his wife, Vera, of Filion, Carl Talaski and his wife, Doris, of Milford; three sisters: Irene Gorney, of Bad Axe, Maggie Leppek, of Filion, Margie Woychowski, of Bad Axe; one brother- in-law, Irvin Polega, of Caseville; four sisters-in-law, Leona Lemanski, of Harbor Beach, Genny Peyerk, of Filion, Jean Talaski, of Bad Axe, Charlotte Kranz, of Harbor Beach; 50 grandchildren; 76 great-grandchildren; and four great-great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Eugene Peyerk; one daughter, Viola Polega; four brothers, Lawrence, Frank, Bernard and Robert Talaski; one sister, Mary Ann Polega; and five grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 29, 2005, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bad Axe. Officiating will be Fr. James Carlson, pastor. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Rapson. Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. today at Kaufman Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. on Monday at the church. A parish scripture service will be at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday and a Daughters of Isabella Rosary at 8:30 p.m., both at the funeral home.
