Raymond Peyerk
February 22, 1903 - March 2, 1977
HARBOR BEACH - Ray Peyerk, 74, died Wednesday in his home following a long 
illness.  He was born Feb. 22, 1903, in Bloomfield Township, where he was a 
lifelong resident.  He married Miss Clara Smarcz October 29, 1927, in 
Detroit.  Mr. Peyerk was a retired farmer. 

He is survived by his wife; three sons, Elmer Peyerk, Filion, Donald Peyerk, 
Washington, Michigan, and Robert Peyerk, Harbor Beach; a daughter, Mrs. Ben 
Murawski, Sterling Heights; five brothers, Joseph Peyerk, Bad Axe, Edward 
and Anthony Peyerk, both of Harbor Beach, Julius Peyerk, Marysville, and 
Frank Peyerk, Filion; two sisters, Mrs. Anastasia Goniwiecha, Bad Axe, and 
Mrs. Fabian Lemanski, Harbor Beach; 27 grandchildren; and a great-
grandchild.  A son, Leonard Peyerk, died in 1972. 

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 
Rapson.  The Rev. Stephen Sramek, O.S.B., pastor, will officiate.  Burial 
will be in the church cemetery.  Remains will be In Zinger Funeral Home, 
Ubly, after 7 p.m. today.  Published Times Herald (Port Huron, Michigan) 
Thursday March 3, 1977.
