Gertrude Veronica (Zagorski) Peyerk March 10, 1917 - December 12, 1991 GERTRUDE PEYERK Gertrude V Horiski Peyerk, 74, Harbor Beach died Thursday Dec 12, 1991 at SL Joseph Hospital Mount Clemens after a short illness. She was born March 10, 1917 in Detroit, daughter of the late Andrew and Veronica (Kurk) Zagorski. She married Leo Horiski on September 7, 1926 in Detroit. He preceded her in death April 17, 1970. She later married Edward Peyerk on July 6, 1985 in Harbor Beach. Mrs. Peyerk was a nurse’s aide at Sunny Acres Nursing Center, Bad Axe, retiring in 1979. She was a parishioner at Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church, Harbor Beach. Surviving are her husband Edward Harbor Beach; four sons Kenneth (Bonnie) Horiski, Rochester Ronald (Terry) Horiski, Florida, Donald (Cindy) Horiski, Bach, and James (Laura) Horiski, Bad Axe; six daughters, Betty Jurgess, Ann Arbor, Jan (Harold) Becking, Bad Axe, Pat (John) Stiff, Bad Axe, Nancy Partaka, Cass City, Marianne (John) Peyerk, and Kevin (JoAnn) Peyerk, all of Armada, five stepsons Edward (Judy) Peyerk, John (Marianne) Peyerk and Kevin (JoAnn) Peyerk all of Armada, Daniel (Charlotte) Peyerk, Washington, Mich., and Brian (Polly) Peyerk, New Baltimore; two step-daughters, Joan (Omar) Robarts, Bad Axe, and Terry (Ronald) Horiski, Florida; 28 step- grandchildren; 17 great- step-grandchildren and two sisters Ceclilia Horiski and Josephine Gondoly, both of Detroit. Preceding her in death were two daughters, Jacqueline Talaski and Dolly Horiski; one brother Norman Zagorski, two stepsons Gene and Jerry Peyerk and three step-grandchiIdren. Services were 11 a.m.Monday at Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church. The Rev, Edward Konieczka, pastor, officiated. Burial was in St. Francis Borgia Catholic Cemetery, Pigeon.
