Clarence Adam Pfaff December 25, 1895 - June 11, 1965 Clarence A. Pfaff, 69, retired farmer and former employee of Hercules Powder Company, Harbor Beach and jts predecessor, the Huron Milling Company, died Friday in Hubbard Memorial Hospital Bad Axe, of a heart attack suffered earlier in the day. Born December 25, 1895, in Waterloo, Ontario, Mr. Pfaff came when a child to Verona Township, Huron County, with his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. John Pfaff. He served with the Infantry in the United States Army during World War I and was in combat in Europe. He was a member of Parisville VFW Post. He and Miss Agnes Klama were married September 11, 1920 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bad Axe. Mr. and Mrs. Pfaff lived In Verona Township where he farmed. He also was employed at the Harbor Beach plant until 1944 when they moved to Sherman Township. Mr. Pfaff is survived by his widow, a daughter, Mrs. Frances (Casimer) Schefka, Ubly; a son, Earl Pfaff, Ruth, and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at the Zinger Funeral Home in Ubly. Burial will be in Ruth cemetery where military rites will be conducted by the Parisville VFW Post.
