He was born July 12, 1924, in Bingham Township, son of John and Frances (Gosdzinski) Pionk. He married Beatrice Klama January 31, 1953, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Parisville. Mr. Pionk attended Kellj Rural School and farmed for many years in Huron County. He was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Catholic Church for 35 years. Surviving are his wife, Beatrice, Ruth; 2 sons, Gary Pionk and Herb Pionk, both of Ruth; 2 daughters, Sharon Pozsgay, Deckerville, and Mrs. Randy (Arlene) Brown, Bad Axe; 7 grandchildren; 4 brothers, Enoch Pionk, Elmer Pionk and Archie Pionk, all of Ubly, and James Pionk, Kinde; 4 sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Susie) Peruski, Ubly, Anna Susalla, Bad Axe, Selma Grifka, Argyle, and Mrs. Frank (Rose) Lemanski, Minden City. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Stephanie ; 3 brothers, Clarence Pionk, Sylvester Pionk and Stanley Pionk, and one sister, Lucy Osentoski. Services were held Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. The Rev. Leonard Wilkuski, pastor, officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.
