She was born June 15, 1932 in Wayne County, daughter of the late Stanley and Theresa (Hessling) Lemanski. She married Roman Pionk October 14, 1950 in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Parisville. Mrs. Pionk was a 1948 graduate of Minden City High School. She was a parishioner of St. Mary's and also employed as the school and parish secretary and school bus driver. She was a member of the parish choir, Eucharistic minister and lector, member of the Rosary Sodality, vicariate representative to the Saginaw Diocese for the parish, and a member of Daughters of Isabella. Surviving are her husband. Roman, Ruth; nine daughters; Mrs. Dave (Sue) Anderson, Smiths Creek. Chris Pionk. Baltimore, MD., Mrs. Clarke (Joyce) Scott, Alta Vista, Virginia, Deb Pionk, Austin. Texas. Mary Jane Pionk, East Lansing, Mrs. Terry (Yvonne) O’Connor, Minden City. Nancy Pionk, Chicago, Shelly Pionk, Grand Rapids, and Renee Pionk, at home; three sons, Larry Pionk, Clinton, South. Carolina, Dan Pionk, Minneapolis. Minnesota, and Darren, at home; five grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Clara Renner, Royal Oak, and a half-sister, Mrs. Frank (Clementine) Szymanski, Port Austin. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Diane Pionk. in 1954. Services were held Monday 4t St. Mary's Catholic Church, Parisville. T he Rev. Leonard Wilkuski, pastor, officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were conducted by the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home of Ubly where rosary services were held on Saturday at 8:00 p.m. by St. Mary's Rosary Sodality, 4:30 p.m. Sunday by St. Mary's Mens Club and 7:30 p.m. Sunday by the Daughters of Isabella.
