He was born May 15, 1908, in Harbor Beach, and lived in Port Huron since 1945. He married Pebble MacPherson October 31, 1940. Mr. Pionk was an employee of the City of Port Huron for 24 years, retiring in 1974. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife; three sisters, Mrs. Connie White, Ferndale, and Mrs. Lucy LaHart and Mrs. Irene McAllister, both of Port Huron; two brothers, Robert and Ed Pionk, both of Port Huron; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Arthur Smith Funeral Homes- North Chapel. The Rev. Lyle Calkins of Port Huron Free Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visiting is from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Published Times Herald Port Huron Friday March 8, 1985.
