Friday April 30, 2010 Harriet Agnes (Pelath) Pionk July 26, 1915 - July 4, 1990 Harriett A. Pionk, 74, Harbor Beach, died Wednesday July 4 1990 at Harbor Beach Communiity Hospital after an apparent heart attack. She was born July 26,1915 in Harbor Beach, daughter of the late Anthony and Veronica (Forefoffer) Pelath. She and Paul Pionk were married October 15, 1931 in Harbor Beach. He preceded her in death June 2, 1984. Mrs Plonk was a member of Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church Harbor Beach and the Altar Society. Surviving are two sons Edward Pionk and Ronald Pionk both of Port Huron three daughters June Essenmacher, Elyria, Ohio, Barbara Booms, Morristown and Pauline Emerick, Port Hope; three sisters Marcella Grant and Leontine Howard, both of Harbor Beach and Helen Stageman, Farmington Hills 28; grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister Marie Stocks and two brothers Bernard Pelath and Mike Forefoffer. Funeral services were 11 am Saturday at Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church. The Rev Thomas McNamara pastor officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Arrangements were directed through the Ramsey Funeral Home Harbor Beach. Published Times Herald Harbor Beach Thursday July 12, 1990. Ulfig, George Daniel of New Brighton, on April 27 in his 45th year. Preceded in death by brother, Joseph and godfather, Floyd Essenmacher. Survived by parents, Linus B. & Dolores A.; sisters, Elizabeth (Greg) Hill and Bernadette; brother, Matthew (Colleen); nephews, John and Jeffrey; niece, Madeline. George graduated from Irondale High School and was a 1984 graduate of Dunwoody Institute. He worked in the printing industry in the Twin Cities and loved the great outdoors. A celebration of life memorial service will be held Saturday, May 1 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 835 2nd Ave NW in New Brighton at 11 AM, with visitation starting one hour before.
