Charles W. Piper
August 21, 1926 - February 29, 2012
Charles W. Piper, age 85 of Harbor Beach, passed away Wednesday, February 29, 
2012 at Port Huron Hospital. He was born on August 21, 1926 in his home in 
Sherman Township, to the late Daniel and Jenny (Emiling) Piper.  Charles and 
Rose Mary Kramer were united in marriage on September 26, 1952.  She preceded 
him in death on June 7, 1977.  Charles Served in the US Army during World War 
II, and also as a Merchant Marine on the Great Lakes.  He was a member of the 
Parisville VFW.  Charles was a farmer in Sherman Township.  He enjoyed hunting, 
fishing and especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his children 
Marilyn Dimick and her husband Donald of Rogers City, and Clifford Piper and 
his wife Judy of Harbor Beach, daughter-in-law Susan Kolaski, eight 
grandchildren: Sandra Zick (Walter) Abercrombie, Michael Mosey, Deanna Dimick, 
Sara Dimick, Nicole Mills, Dustin Piper, Tiffany Piper, and Bradley Piper, and 
three great grandchildren: Travis, Kenny, and Kaylee; sister Lois Rapson of 
Riley Townshipand cousin Jean Williams of Westland.Charles was preceded in 
death by his children: Virginia Ann Piper, and John Wilfred Piper, and sibling 
Ila Deen Piper Klee.  Funeral Service for Charles will be Saturday, March 3, 
2012 at 11 am at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach, with Rev. Dennis 
Cupery officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Falls Cemetery. Visitation for 
Charles will be Friday, March 2, from 2-8 pm in the funeral home and on 
Saturday beginning at 10 am until time of services at 11 am.
