Felix Phillip Polega 
November 9, 1926 – October 27, 1991
Felix Polega, 64, Kinde, died Sunday, October 27, 1991, at Pontiac Osteopathic 
Hospital after an apparent heart attack.  He was born November 9, 1926 in 
Dwight Township, son of the late Martin and Mary (Taleski) Polega.  He married 
Frances Kubacki on October 25, 1947 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Smiths 
Corner.  A lifelong resident of Dwight Township, Mr. Polega was a farmer and 
also worked at Active Industries, Elkton, 26 years.  A U.S. Army veteran, he 
was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4003, Kinde.  He enjoyed 
hunting and fishing,  Mr. Polega was a parishioner at St. Mary’s Catholic 
Church, Dwight Township, and its HolyName Society and Ushers Club.

Surviving are his wife Frances, Kinde; four daughters, Marjorie (Clare) Wehner, 
Allenton, and Dorothy (Donald) Schramski, Susan (Kenneth) Toner and Diane 
Polega, all of Kinde; seven sons, Frederick (Karen) Polega, Sterling Heights, 
Randall Polega, Southfield, Gary (Sandra) Polega, Harbor Beach, Martin (Lisa) 
Polega, Bad Axe, Gregory (Deborah) Polega, Harbor Beach, Terry Polega, Filion, 
and Kevin Polega, Kinde; 23 grandchildren; two sisters, Lucy (Walter) Baranski, 
Kinde, and Agnes (Phillip) Kroetsch, Port Austin; and one bother, Floyd Polega, 
Bad Axe.  Preceding him in death were one son, Richard Polega; three brothers, 
Leo Polega, Edward Polega, and Michael Polega; and one sister, Virginia 
Kubacki.  

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.  The Rev. 
Richard Filary, pastor, will officiate.  Burial will be in the church 
cemetery.  Published unknown.
