Edward Henry Polega
November 30, 1914 - April 28, 1974
BAD AXE - Edward Polega, 59, Dwight Township, died Sunday in Huron Memorial 
Hospital, Bad Axe, after a long illness.  He was a farmer and a life-long 
resident of Huron County.  He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, 
Dwight Township.  Polega was born November 30, 1914, in Dwight Township.  He 
married Esther Glaza January 28, 1939, in Parisville. 

He is survived by his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Henry Kubacki, Kinde, and 
Mrs. Harry Wisneski, Essexville; a son, Melvin Polega, Bay City; three 
grandsons; three brothers, Mike and Felix Polega, both of Kinde, and Floyd 
Polega, Bad Axe; and three sisters, Mrs. Walter Barenski, Kinde, Mrs. Cass 
Kubaski, Ubly, and Mrs. Phil Kroctsch, Snover. 

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Mary's Catholic 
Church, Dwight Township.  Rev. Stanley Shurman, pastor, will officiate.  
Burial will be in the church cemetery.  The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. 
today in MacAlpine Funeral Home, Gage Chapel, Kinde.  Remains are in the 
funeral home.  Published Times Herald (Port Huron, Michigan) Monday April 
29, 1974.
