Florence (Visga) Prentice
August 3, 1931 - February 14, 2006
ST. CLAIR TWP. - Florence Prentice, 74, of St. Clair Township, died 
unexpectedly, Tuesday, February 14, 2006, in Mercy Hospital.  She was born 
August 3, 1931, in Port Huron, to the late Frank and Hedwig Visga.  She 
married William G. Prentice on September 15, 1954 in Ohio.  He died February 
7, 1998.  Mrs. Prentice enjoyed crafts, shopping, going to garage sales and 
taking care of her animals. 

She is survived by seven children, Pat (Brian) Washburn, David Diem, Karen 
(Lenny) Willard, Kathy Prentice and fiance Doug Dorland, William Prentice 
Jr., Richard Prentice and fiance Sue Armstead, and Robert (Melanie) 
Prentice; nine grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren; three sisters, 
Theresa (Carl) Shafer, Martha (Clarence) Center and Virginia Hill and Jack; 
sister-in-law, Thelma Visga; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded 
in death by a daughter, Penny Louise. 

Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday in the Marysville 
Funeral Home.  Mrs. Prentice will lie in state from 11:30 a.m. until the 
time of the Funeral Mass at 12 noon on Friday in St. Christopher Catholic 
Church.  The Reverend Gerald Britz will officiate.  The Rite of Committal 
will follow in Riverlawn Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Randy Washburn, Matt 
Bachorski, William Prentice Jr., Doug Dorland, Lenny Willard and Randy 
Sharrow.  Memorials may be made to the family.  Published Times Herald (Port
