Joseph Priemer  
January 23, 1928 - March 1, 2012
Mr. Joseph Priemer, 84, of Harbor Beach passed away Thursday, March 1, 2012, at 
St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Port Huron.  Joe was born January 23, 1928, in 
Harbor Beach to the late Lucas and Anna (Hessling) Premier.  He married June 
Walker on February 16, 1952.  Joe was a retired farmer.  He also retired from 
Leader Tool.  He was an avid fan of education and donated largely to the 
Michigan State Education Fund.  He enjoyed vacationing with his wife and 
friends.  He also enjoyed playing euchre at the House of Knowledge.

Joe is survived by his wife of 60 years, June of Harbor Beach; four children, 
Cindy (Frank Hughes) Priemer of Ruth, Thomas (Karen) of Harbor Beach, Crystal 
(Marvin) Mosher of Fort Gratiot and Eric (Crystal) of Ruth; eight 
grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Eugene; five sisters, 
Johanna, Rita, Doris, Delores and Coletta; and many nieces and nephews.  Joe 
was preceded in death by one sister, Winnie.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 5, 2012 at the Zinger-
Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly. Rev. Donald Eppenbrock will officiate. Burial 
will be in the St. Anthony Cemetery in Helena.  Visitation will be at the 
Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. 
until the time of service Monday.
