He was born April 18, 1930 in Bay City to the late Andrew S. and Mary (Dziubek) Puralewski. Stanley graduated from Bay City Central High School. He married the former Rita L. Glaza, March 31, 1951 in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church and she predeceased him January 26, 2004. Stanley served his country in the U.S. Army as a Corporal from 1951 1953 and retired from Bay City Chevrolet after over 47 years of service. He was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish-St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, St. Stan's Men's Club, Brother Beavers, The American Legion and the U.A.W. Local #362 retirees. Stan was an avid bowler, he enjoyed playing bingo, taking trips to the Casino and gardening. Surviving are two children; Susan (Bob) Morrissey of Colorado, John S. (Judy) Puralewski of White Lake, Michigan, two grandchildren; Andrew Puralewski, David (Tracy) Morrissey and six great-grandchildren; Isabella, Tyler and Dillon Morrissey, Ricky, Trey and Nicholas Kalbaugh. Also surviving is a sister, Esther Zielinski, a sister-in-law, Leona Lijewski and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters; Irene Burzynski, Cecil Sporman, Terri Piotrowski, two brothers; Efrim and Hugo Puralewski. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. from Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish-St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. Fr. Rick Filary will officiate followed by Military Honors by the Bay County Veteran's Council. Friends may call at the Ambrose Funeral Home on Friday from 2:00-8:00 P.M. and at the Church on Saturday after 9:00 A.M. There will be a Parish Vigil Service for Stan at 7:00 P.M. Friday.
