Xavier Alex Respondek, 62, 
passed away early Fri in Bad Axe General Hospital. He was born Jan 6, 1896 in 
Parish twp and has been a lifelong resident of Huron county. For the past 20 
years he has lived in Bad Axe. Mr Respondek formerly worked at the Farmer's 
Elevator and for Duncan McKichan. He was a veteran of WWI and a member of Sacred 
Heart Cath ch. Survivors are 1 son, Lawrence, Bad Axe; three daughters, Mrs. 
Irene Watchowski and Mrs Helen Tono, both of Detroit, Mrs Rita Champagne, Bad 
Axe; 5 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Mrs Rose Pariseau, Bad Axe; Mrs. Agnes Doyle, 
Croswell, Mrs Clayton Pedrotti, Detroit; 4 brothers, John Respondek, Ruth; 
Joseph White, Edward White and David White all of Detroit. Funeral services will 
be at 9 a.m. Tues in Sacred Heart Cath ch. Burial will be in the church 
cemetery. Sherman-Elvin Post will conduct Military services at the cemetery.
