  Genevieve A. (Talaski) Dahlke, age 68, of Bad Axe died Tuesday, July 25, 
2000, at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor after a short 
illness.
  She was born Aug 12, 1931 in Harbor Beach, daughter of the late Jacob and 
Mary (Simen) Roberts.  She married Jerry Sigismund "Zigmund" Talaski on March 
25, 1947 in Louisville, Ky.  He preceded her in death July 20, 1981.  She 
married Chester Dahlke on Jan. 2, 1996 in Bad Axe.
  She was a devoted wife and mother.  She enjoyed reading, traveling, baking, 
taking rides in the coutry and spending time with her family and her husband, 
Chester. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church of Rapson and a member of 
St. Rita's Altar Society of the parish.  Genny was a member of VFW Auxiliary 
#9344, a member of the Daughters of Isabella Fidelis Regina Circle #608 of Bad 
Axe, officer of the Huron Couty League of Catholic Women and a charter member 
of the Rapson Sportsman Club.
  She is survived by her husband, Chester of Bad Axe; six sons; Jerry (Agnes) 
of Elkton, Randall (Nancy) of Valrico, FL, Alan (Sharon)of Brandon, FL, Andrew 
(LeAnn) Redford, William Talaski of Bad Axe, Brian (Amy) of Bad Axe; six 
daughters; Denise "Dee" (Charles) Kern of Port Huron, Deborah (Truman) Glover, 
Dover, FL, Donna (Gerald) Peruski of Bad Axe, Delphine (Karl) Trepkowski, 
Ubly, Diane Talaski, Wayne, Dierdre (Pat) Behnke, Harbor Beach; 24 
grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two stepsons, Curtis Dahlke of 
Earlville, Iowa, and Charles Dahlke of Jackson; two stepdaugthers, Charlene 
(Michael) Westminster, Colo., and Connie McClure of Beaverton; nine step-
grandchildren; five step great grandchildren; seven sisters, Mary (Richard) 
Hartman of Mishawaka, Ind., June Pawlowski, Ubly, Agnes (Joseph) Petruk of Hot 
Springs, Ark, Gladys (Joseph) Page, Davison, Shirley (Eugene) Booms, Harbor 
Beach, Bernice (Marcus) Messing, Peck, Joyce (Harold) Pleiness, Port Hope, 
three brothers, Vincent (Leona) Harbor Beach, Jerome (Stephanie) Las Vegas, 
NA, Bernard (Doris) Roberts, Harbor Beach; several nieces,nephews and special 
friends.
  She was preceded in death by two infant sons, David and Michael; one 
granddaughter; her brother, James Roberts; and four sisters, Adaline and 
Eveline Roberts,Harbor Beach, Rosaline Anstett, Detroit, and Annie Winkel of 
Warren.
  Mass of Christina burial will be at 11 a.m. today in St. Joseph church of 
Rapson. The Rev. John Weis, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the 
church cemetery.
  Friends may call the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly today from 8:30 
to 10:00 a.m.
  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
