George H Rogers
George H Rogers, 79, died unexpectedly at his home on South Street, Bad Axe, 
Sunday evening. He was born Jan 7, 1871 in Colfax twp of which he was a life 
long resident. He is survived by his wife, Agnes, seven children, Mrs. Ora 
Bixby, Ann Arbor, Mrs. Rhea Markel, Cleveland, Mrs. Bessie Blakeslee, 
Farmington, Elmer of Seward, Alaska, Kirk, Richard and Paul of Bad Axe, 24 
grandchildren; Three brothers, Edward of Boise, ID, Sterling oof Duluth MN and 
Oscar of Bad Axe. Funeral services will be held Wed at 2 p.m. from the MacAlpine 
funeral home. Rev Robert McLean, pastor of the First Methodist ch will 
officiate. Burial will be in Colfax cemetery. Mr. Rogers operated a taxi service 
in Bad Axe for years. He was secretary of Modern Woodman of America.
