John Rogers
Ubly, May 15 – John Rogers, 67, lifelong resident of Huron co, died unexpectedly 
Sun night in his home. He was born May 8, 1883 in Sherman twp, he farmed many 
years before he moved 10 years ago to Ubly. Mr & Mrs Rogers moved into a new 
home 3 years ago. He is survived by his widow, Elizabeth; a daughter, Mrs Walter 
Ulfig, Parisville; a son, Glenn, Detroit; two grandchildren and two brothers, 
Louis, Canwood Sask and August in MN. The remains are in Edward Zinger & Son 
funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Wed in St John the 
Evangelist Cath ch. Rev Stanley a Kilar will officiate. Burial will be in SS 
Peter & Paul cemetery at Ruth. Fr Kilar will conduct Rosary devotions at 8:30 
p.m. Tues in the funeral home. Mr Rogers was a member of the Holy Name society 
of St John's church.
