Tobie Daniel Romzek  
May 1975 – February 21, 2026
TOBIE DANIEL ROMZEK, 50, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 
Meijer Heart Center, Grand Rapids, MI with his family by his side.  A memorial 
was held Wednesday, February 25, 2026 for family and friends.  Tobie is survived 
by his partner, Jason Morrison; parents, Daniel and Susan Romzek; brothers, Chad 
(Tracy), Gavin (Claire) Romzek; nephews, Dylan, Mason, Owen, Maxwell (godson) 
and niece, Lyla as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.  Tobie loved his 
many dear friends and his beloved dog, Billie.  Tobie was predeceased by his 
grandparents, Irvin and Ernestine Romzek, James and D. Jane Turner and aunt Jean 
Turner and uncle Raphael Romzek.  Tobie and Jason have lived in Grand Rapids 12 
years.  He worked in the food industry and loved working in theater.  He was 
very active in the theater and very creative while working in the background on 
set design, clothing, and creating special fancy footwear for performers and 
many friends.  A fond memory for his family is Tobie dancing to the “Rose” when 
he was in high school.  We hope his memory lives on whenever a rose appears.  
The family was assisted by Grand Rapids Cremation Services.  Published Huron
