Adolph Rothe
Elkton, Feb 17 – Adolph Rothe, 82, died Mon afternoon in the home of his 
daughter, Mrs Frances Rosenthal.  The remains are in the Jams F Colgan funeral 
chapel and will be removed at noon Wed to the Trinity Luth ch where funeral 
services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Rev E E Rupp will officiate. Burial will 
be in Valley cemetery near Ubly.  Mr Rothe is survived by 86 descendants, 
including three daughters, Mrs Bertha Schneider, Grindstone City, Mrs Rose Luss, 
Detroit, and Mrs Rosenthal, five sons, Joseph and Carl Roth, both of Detroit, 
Gustav and Ralph Rothe, both of Grindstone City and Julius Rothe, Bad Axe; 
33 grandchildren and 45 great grandchildren. 

He was born May 25, 1865, in Poland and came to the U S April 28, 1912. He lived 
in Verona Twp, Huron Co, until he came to Elkton to live with his daughter five 
years ago after the death of his wife.
