Daniel Joseph Rubery April 4, 1940 – August 21, 2013 Rubery, Col. Daniel J. (Ret) of O'Fallon, Missouri, fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Mother Church Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at the age of 73. Loving husband of the late Frances Rubery (nee Tenbusch); dear son of Elizabeth J. and the late Joseph P. Rubery; devoted father of Daniel (Regina) Rubery, Jr., Michele (Don) Heavner, and Marcie (Mark) Stuckel; cherished grandfather of Alex and Nicholas Heavner, Daniel Rubery III, Caroline Rubery, Katie, Luke, and Matthew Stuckel; treasured brother of Michael Rubery, Timothy Rubery, and Sherry Buck; and beloved cousin of John Rubery, Ellen Muhl, and Cathy Rubery. Col. Daniel Rubery (Ret) proudly served in the United States Army and retired after 27 years of dedicated service. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Dardenne Prarie where he was an active volunteer. He was also a member of the AAAA, American Legion, St. Vincent De Paul, Catholic Charities, and Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing, fishing, square dancing, trains and was a devoted St. Louis University Basketball fan. He was a compassionate person who reached out and cared for many, and he was loved by all. Services: The family is being served by The BAUE Funeral and Memorial Center, 3950 West Clay Street, St. Charles, Missouri where visitation will be held Sunday, August 25, 2013 from 3:00-7:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, August 26, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 7701 Highway N, Dardenne Prairie, Missouri.
