Joe was born July 12, 1928 in Detroit, son of the late Boleslaw and Anna (LaBuhn) Rudy. He was united in marriage to Adeline (Wrubel) Leavine on July 5, 1980 at St. John Catholic Church in Ubly. He graduated from Bad Axe High School. After graduation, Joe farmed for over 40 years in Verona Township. He then went to work for WalMart for over 19 years and retired at the young age of 82. He was a member of the NRA and a member of the Linwood-Bay Sportsmen’s Club. Joe served on the Verona Board of Review for a short time. He enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as shooting clay pigeons. Joe is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Adeline Rudy of Bad Axe. Stepchildren – Rosalie (Gary) Bitterling, Linda (Mark) Gembarski, Valerie (Jim) Schramski and Michael Leavine. Grandchildren – Dawn and Eric Eller, Marie and Kevin Waldi, Vanessa and Brian Bader, Jody and Scott Bain, Aaron and Alesha Schramski, Breann Schramski. Great-grandchildren – Branden and Heather Eller, Kasi Waldi, Alison and Ashlyn Bader, Rook Bain, Kinley and Cambry Schramski. Nieces and Nephews – Donald and Linda Rudy, Kenneth and Diane Rudy, Darlene and William Tetter, David and Melissa Rudy, Gerald and Michelle Rudy, Gary and Jeanette Rudy, Jeffrey and Robin Nowc, Melanie Mantyla, Liane and Scott Martin, Loren and Ann Marie Nowc. In-Laws – Archie and Susan Wrubel and Alice Wrubel. Joe was preceded in death by: Siblings – Frank, Irene and Delphine Rudy, William and Irene Rudy, Rita and Norman Nowc, Eleanor and Valentine (Wally) Dominick. Mother-in-law – Nettie Wrubel Schumacher. In-Laws- Marvin and Virginia Booms. Nephew –Norbert Dominick A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 11 am at Good Shepherd Parish – St. John Catholic Church in Ubly. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at the church from 9:30 am until the service time at 11 am. Published Kaufman Funeral Home.
