 Former Bad Axe Boy is Killed in Seigfried Line
   Bad Axe, March 21 -- News has been received here that Pvt James Riffel, 18,
son of Mr and Mrs Charles Riffel, Saginaw, formerly of Bad Axe, was killed in
Germany in the Seigfried line Feb 27.  Private Riffel left Bad Axe about 18
months ago to live in Saginaw.  He was born April 15, 1926.  He attended
school here.  He is survived by his parents, five brothers, Bruce, Richard,
George, Thomas and Larry and two sisters Beverly and Mary Agnes Riffel, all of
Saginaw.
