She was able to be at peace in the comfort of her home, cozied up in her flannel pajamas and surrounded by family. Margaret was born June 4, 1960, in Bad Axe, daughter of the late Virginia (Miller) and William Krug. Margaret was a 1978 graduate of Bad Axe High School. She was employed at the office of the late Dr. James Haley, then for Huron Behavioral Health until she went independent and started her own company, Lakeshore Livestock Logistics. She later worked in conjunction with her husband's business, Sadro Transport, LLC. until his death in 2019. Maggie enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her four grandchildren who meant the world to her; Logen and Shelby Sadro of Bad Axe, and Allison and Taylor Protzman of Caseville. She loved being involved with the little things in relation to farming issues and spent a lot of time touring the crops on the back roads while stopping along the way to chat with everyone in her path, tending to her flowers, watching the Tigers, and pressing that 'auto pilot' button in her car that was programmed to travel to the Michigan casinos. Margaret will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her son, Alan (Amanda) Sadro of Bad Axe and daughter, Katie (Kyle) Protzman of Caseville. Her brothers, Leonard (Jamie) Krug of Freeland and George Krug of Bad Axe; sisters, Deborah Maurer and her significant other Ed Barter of Farmington Hills, Susan (Wilbur) Craven of Florence, Alabama; brother-in-law Dick "Richard" Koehler of Pigeon. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Alice Sadro of Bad Axe; sister-in-law, Joy (Wally) Tenbusch of Bad Axe. Our hearts are aching with the loss of someone who was full of life, had a great sense of humor, a bit stubborn, and when she walked in a room, we all knew "Maggie is here"! She left us with an abundance of memories and laughter that will last us a lifetime. She touched the lives of her many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. Let's not forget her faithful cat (Cobra) who has been by her side up until the end. She was preceded in death by her husband, lifelong friend, and partner Doug Sadro, sister, Peggy Ann Koehler and sister-in-law, Lori Krug. Katie, Alan and her family extend our heartfelt thanks to her physicians, the staff at Scheurer Hospital Pigeon, Covenant Health Care, Saginaw, Hospice, and sincere thanks to cousin Pat Geiger, Bad Axe, who graciously stepped in last minute to assist with her care. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will held on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Hubert Parish – St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rapson. Cremation has taken place and burial will be in the Verona Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021 from 1-8 p.m. at Kaufman Funeral Horne in Bad Axe or Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the service time at 11 a.m. Memorials may be made to the family or the charity of the donor's choice.
