Funeral services will be held in the Bad Axe Episcopal church with Rev J W French officiating when her son, Henry, arrives from Calcutta, India. Survivors, besides her son, are two brothers, Harry H Harthshorn of Dayton, OH and Arthur a Hartshorn of Bad Axe. The accident occurred on the Deckerville road about five and a half miles from Deckerville where she was born in 1894. She was enroute to a visit with relatives at Lexington. Sanilac county state police who covered the accident said that the car hit a bad section of road and Mrs Scholer apparently lost control. The automobile left the road and struck a stump and hewn tree, turning over one and a half times and resting on the roof. Dr E W Blanchard, summoned to the scene, gave Mrs Scholer a sedative to ease the pain of many fractures and possible internal injuries. An ambulance from Hubbard hospital then carried her to Bad Axe where Dr Willet Herrington too over the apparently hopeless case.
