Lauretta Catherine (Kirsch) Schumacher  
May 8, 1908 – April 23, 1994
Lauretta Schumacher, 85, died Saturday, April 23, 1994, in her son's home.  She 
was born May 8, 1908, in Harbor Beach.  She married Raymond Schumacher June 14, 
1932, in St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Helena.  He died January 30, 1984.  She 
is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Lloyd and Betty Schumacher and 
Thomas and Jacqueline Schumacher; four daughters, Mrs. Richard (Arlene) Martin, 
Mrs. Donald (Bessie) Kirsch, Mrs. Ronald (Jane) Volmering and Ann Uicker; 29 
grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; four step great-
grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Charles (Magdaline) Messing.  Services are 
10 a.m. Wednesday in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ruth. Burial will be 
in the church cemetery. Visiting is 4:30 to 9:30 p.m. today, noon to 9:30 p.m. 
Tuesday and 8 to 9 a.m. Wednesday in Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly.
