Edith Frances (Patz) Sharbowski



Mrs. Edith Frances (Patz) Sharbowski, 86, formerly of Minden City and Ubly, 
passed away Monday, June 29, 2009 in Troy after a long illness.



She was born July 23, 1922 in Charleston to the late Albert and Evelyn (Roth) 
Patz. She was a lifelong resident of the Minden City and Ubly areas. 



She was married to the late Anthony J. Sharbowski.



Edith is survived by one son, Marcus Sharbowski of Battleground, Wash.; one 
daughter, Evelyn (Eric) Maurer of Troy; five grandchildren, Damian (Gina) 
Sharbowski of Sterling Heights, Jennifer (Rob) Taylor of Milford, Megan 
Sharbowski of Harrison Township, Jared Sharbowski of Redford, Jason Maurer of 
Troy; four great-grandchildren, Damian and Troy Sharbowski, Avery and Quinn 
Taylor.



She was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Patz.



Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. July 3, 2009 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in 
Palms. The Rev. Peter Nwokoye, pastor of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Palms, 
will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. 



Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral 
Home in Ubly and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church only. There will be a 
parish vigil service at 7 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.



Memorials are requested to the American Heart Association.
