John Shemka Sr.
June 30, 1903 - August 14, 1975
UBLY - John Shemka Sr., 72, retired Paris Township farmer, died unexpectedly 
Thursday in his home.  He was born June 30, 1903, in Paris Township.  He and 
Minnie Glaza were married February 8, 1932.  They moved to Ubly in June, 
1974. 

Mr. Shemka is survived by his wife; three sons, La Verne Shemka, Port Hope, 
John Shemka Jr., Ubly, and Harry Shemka, Flint; two daughters, Mrs. Archie 
Pionk and Mrs. Eugene Lemanski, both of Ubly, and 17 grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in St. John's Catholic 
Church.  Rev. Stanley Surman, pastor of St. Mary's Catholic Church, 
Parisville, will officiate.  The remains will be in Zinger Funeral Home 
after 7 p.m. Saturday.  A Rosary will be recited at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the 
funeral home.  Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.   Published Times
