Nelson Sherman
Nelson Sherman died Mon night at his home south of Bad Axe. He was 81. Mr 
Sherman was born in Sodus Point NY Oct 19, 1868. He married March 24, 1890, in 
Bad Axe. He was a life member of the L.O.L. lodge. He died after a stroke 
suffered Mon afternoon. He is survived by his wife, Selina, a daughter, 
Beatrice, two sons, Wesley, Detroit and Howard, Lodgegrass, MT. One brother, 
Merritt, Cass City, and one sister, Mrs Daniel Shaw, also survive. He had 13 
grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be from the 
MacAlpine Funeral home at 2 p.m. Thurs, with Rev Manson Lowe officiating. Burial 
will be in Colfax cemetery.
