Remains will be removed to Paul A. Hutner funeral home in Kinde later. Funeral arrangements await notice to the family of the time of arrival in Kinde. Corporal Shine, first Huron County man to be killed in action in Korea, will also be the first of the County's war dead to be returned home for burial. He was in action only about 10 days when he was reported missing Aug 31, 1950. He was declared dead by the U.S. Army in notice received by his family in Jan 1951. A brother, Sgt 1/c John Bryan Shine, was in action 15 months in Korea. He is spending a furlough of 30 days with relatives. He will report Sat. at Ft Custer.
