Johanna (Jennie) Leppek) Schubert
November 2, 1901 - July 18, 1975
Mrs. Jennie E. Shubert, 73, of 735 Pine, died unexpectedly Friday in her 
home.  She was born November 3, 1901, in Parisville, and had lived here 37 
years.  She attended schools in Huron County.  Mrs. Shubert was a member of 
St. Joseph Church, Christian Mothers Society of St. Joseph Church, Golden 
Agers and Senior Citizens.  She was married to Leo J. Shubert, who died July 
15, 1937.  Mrs. Shubert is survived by two sons, Ervin C. Shubert, Smiths 
Creek, and Harry J. Shubert, Port Huron; three daughters, Mrs. Eleanor M. 
Langolf, Port Huron, Mrs. Delores M. Laber, Mt. Clemens, Mrs. Elsie M. 
McComb, Port Huron; three brothers, Joseph Leppek and Henry Leppek, both of 
Ubly, and Edmuncd Leppek, Utica; 12 grandchildren and five great-
grandchildren. 

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph Church with the Rev. Robert 
Koenig officiating.  Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.  The remains are 
in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home where a Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. 
Sunday.  Christian C. Langolf, Matt D. McComb, Peter W. Balcer, Charles C. 
Langolf, Don L. Shurbert and Fred G. Shubert will be pallbearers.  Published

Note: Born to William & Appolonia (Glaza) Leppek.  According to the Social 
Security Death Index, her birthdate was November 2, not November 3.  Married 
Leo on October 18, 1921 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Parisville.
