Donald A. Shudark
April 29, 1936 - July 30, 2015
Donald A. “Don” Shudark, 79, Prudenville, died July 31, 2015, at his home, with 
his family by his side.  Visitation was scheduled at Christler Funeral Home, 
Prudenville Chapel, on Wednesday, August 5, from 2 to 8 p.m. and today 
(Thursday, August 6) from 9 to 11 a.m.   A service will take place at the 
funeral home today (Thursday, August 6) at 11 a.m. with Pastor Delray Shudark 
officiating.   Burial will be in Denton Township Cemetery at a later date.   
Memorial donations may be directed to the family.

He was born on April 29, 1936, in Bay City, the son of Walter and Florence 
(Dasky) Shudark.  He married Betty L. Hunt on February 8, 1971, in Bay City.  He 
retired from Dow Chemical in 1986.  He enjoyed being a mechanic and working on 
cars, NASCAR, going to car shows, mowing his grass on his John Deere tractor and 
simply enjoyed sitting on the deck in the sunshine and being around people.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and son, Rick Shudark.  Mr. Shudark is 
survived by his wife, Betty Shudark of Prudenville; sons, Donald (Michele) 
Shudark of Grandville and Delray (Sharon) Shudark of Texas; daughters, 
Bernadette Osantowski of Flat Rock, Christine (Douglas) Looney of South Gate and 
Carolyn Rosenbury- Bellor of Florida; grandchildren, Danielle, Brittany, 
Thadeus, Travis, Patricia, Caleb, Joe, Tim, Roxanne, Roy, Angela, Kevin, Chris 
and Jamie; several greatgrandchildren, several nieces and nephews; and brother, 
Lawrence (Ruthann) Shudark of Midland.  Published Houghton Lake Resorter 
Thursday August 06, 2015.


Additional Comments:
Note:  Children Delray, Bernadette and Christine were the children of Betty Hunt 
and her first husband, Paul Osantowski who passed away December 11, 1965.
