Irma Jean (Cregeur) Slavick
September 13, 1933 - August 5, 2002
Irma J. Slavick, 68, of Bad Axe passed away Monday, Aug. 5, 2002, at Covenant 
Medical Center Harrison in Saginaw after a short illness.  She was born 
September 13, 1933, in Filion, daughter of the late Cyril and Anna (McLaughlin) 
Cregeur.   She married Edwin Yaroch, who preceded her in death in 1958.   She 
and Ernie Slavick were married August 1, 1960, in Dearborn.  Mrs. Slavick was a 
parishioner at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bad Axe.  She was an avid card 
player, bowler, and softball fan and was a member of the Grindstone-Port Hope 
Sportsman's Club.  The couple wintered at Port Richey, Florida for the past 
several years.   

Surviving are her husband, Ernie; three sons, Dennis Yaroch and his special 
friend, Arlice Lackie, of Kinde, Gary Slavick and Kevin Slavick, both of Bad 
Axe; three daughters, Mrs. Laurie Horiski and her husband, Jim, of Bad Axe, Kim 
Slavick and her special friend, Keith Payne, of Texas, and Tracy Slavick of Bad 
Axe; three grandchildren, Cpl. Jim Horiski, 82nd Airborne and his wife, Stacy, 
of N.C., Julie Horiski and her fiance, Richard Thomas, of Lansing, and Alexis 
Slavick of Bay Port; three great-grandchildren, Emily, Alayna, and Kyle of N. 
C.; two sisters, Marjorie Randall of Bad Axe and Ailene Doe of Sturgis; and four 
brothers, Robert Cregeur of Bad Axe, Douglas Cregeur of Forestville, Willard 
Cregeur of Kinde and Jerry Cregeur of Bad Axe.   She was preceded in death by 
one brother, Elwood Cregeur; and one sister, Mrs. Wilfred (Frances) Tschirhart.   

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 8, 2002, at Sacred Heart Catholic 
Church, Bad Axe.  The Rev. John Killop, pastor, will officiate.  Cremation will 
follow.  A Scripture Service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the H.W. 
Weitenberner Funeral Home in Bad Axe by Sacred Heart Pastoral Assistant Jan 
Rapson.   Visitation is from 12 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.   
Memorials may be made to the family's choice.  Published Huron Daily Tribune
